UKAS-accredited pendulum and surface roughness testing for swimming pools, hydrotherapy facilities, leisure centres, hotel pools and aquatic environments across London and the wider Greater London region.
London has the largest concentration of pool stock in the UK — luxury hotel pool and spa facilities across the West End and Mayfair, members' clubs across central London, council-operated leisure centres in every borough, hydrotherapy and rehab facilities at the major teaching hospitals, and a substantial private school pool estate.
Typical London pool instructions include: hotel-group periodic compliance across the major luxury and 4-star estates; expert witness instructions for pool slip claims at the higher-value end of the case spectrum; periodic Health and Social Care Trust testing at hydrotherapy facilities; pre-handover testing on hotel and spa refurbishments; and pre-acquisition due diligence on hotel and leisure asset transactions.
We deliver UKAS ISO/IEC 17025-accredited pendulum and surface roughness testing in London and across the wider Greater London region under the same accreditation that covers our national operations. Pendulum testing follows BS EN 16165:2021 Annex C (the current UK standard, replacing BS 7976-2 in February 2022) using Slider 55 for barefoot pool environments, with Slider 57 and Slider 96 added for sock and shod transitions where relevant. Reports are typically delivered within five working days of the visit, with urgent attendance available where post-incident or pre-handover deadlines require it.
