UKAS-accredited pendulum and surface roughness testing for swimming pools, hydrotherapy facilities, leisure centres, hotel pools and aquatic environments across Cardiff and the wider Wales region.
Cardiff has the Cardiff International Pool as a major UK aquatics venue, alongside leisure centres operated by Cardiff Council partner trusts, hotel pool stock across Cardiff Bay and the city centre, and the Cardiff University aquatics facilities.
Typical Cardiff instructions include: major aquatics venue periodic compliance; leisure trust testing; hotel-group periodic compliance across the Bay and city-centre estate; and pre-handover testing on commercial pool refurbishments.
We deliver UKAS ISO/IEC 17025-accredited pendulum and surface roughness testing in Cardiff and across the wider Wales region under the same accreditation that covers our national operations. Pendulum testing follows BS EN 16165:2021 Annex C (the current UK standard, replacing BS 7976-2 in February 2022) using Slider 55 for barefoot pool environments, with Slider 57 and Slider 96 added for sock and shod transitions where relevant. Reports are typically delivered within five working days of the visit, with urgent attendance available where post-incident or pre-handover deadlines require it.
