UKAS-accredited pendulum and surface roughness testing for swimming pools, hydrotherapy facilities, leisure centres, hotel pools and aquatic environments across Birmingham and the wider West Midlands region.
Birmingham hosts a substantial leisure centre estate operated by Birmingham City Council and partner trusts, hotel pools across the city centre and the NEC, the University of Birmingham aquatics centre, and a strong private health-club pool concentration around the city centre and inner suburbs.
Typical Birmingham instructions include: leisure trust periodic compliance across the council estate; hotel-group periodic testing across the NEC and city-centre pool stock; pre-handover testing on commercial pool refurbishment programmes; and post-incident testing across the wider West Midlands hotel and leisure estate.
We deliver UKAS ISO/IEC 17025-accredited pendulum and surface roughness testing in Birmingham and across the wider West Midlands region under the same accreditation that covers our national operations. Pendulum testing follows BS EN 16165:2021 Annex C (the current UK standard, replacing BS 7976-2 in February 2022) using Slider 55 for barefoot pool environments, with Slider 57 and Slider 96 added for sock and shod transitions where relevant. Reports are typically delivered within five working days of the visit, with urgent attendance available where post-incident or pre-handover deadlines require it.
